OUTFIT IDEAS FOR DIWALI CARD PARTY

The most-awaited Diwali season is here, and so are the numerous card parties. Given that there is hardly any time to prep for your ethnic wear wardrobe, I am here to help you put your best foot forward and look your very best while attending the Diwali parties.

Diwali is a festival of celebration, love and laughter. So, it is apparent for our outfits to reflect the same. Embellishments, bright colours and prints, therefore, are the key ingredients for Diwali festivities.

I have put together four styles/silhouettes/outfits for you to choose from. They all are fun, stylish and easy to put together. The first one is Dhoti pants with an embellished top and layered up with a cape. This three-piece set has to make you stand out in a crowd. If dhoti pants are not your style you can switch it up with straight-leg pants or plaza pants. You can wear this outfit with flats like juttis or with stilettos (like I have). It not just looks regal but is super comfortable to carry all night long. You can find similar styles here.

The second style is a more simplified version of the first look. Dhoti pants with Kaftan top might not be an obvious choice for many but, together they do look good. This style is extremely comfortable and easy to move around in. I have added a matching bindi to give this look a traditional touch. You can find similar styles here.

The third look is my favourite. I have teamed up a pleated kaftan with a lehnga skirt. This is the most glamorous look of all four looks. To add little interest and structure to the overall outfit I have added a belt. You can shop similar styles here.

The fourth and final look is for someone who wants to glam up but still wants to keep it light. I have teamed up a lightweight lehenga skirt with a basic black crop top from Zara. To make it look dressier I have added jhumkas to complete the look. You can find similar styles here.

Remember to embrace the festive vibes this season. Tell us in the comments which look is your favourite out of the four.
Until next, stay safe and stay stylish.
